What is the difference between a nuisance wildlife controller and a pest control operator?
Pest Control Operators (PCO) and Exterminators are licensed to deal with bug and termite problems. Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators (NWCO), or Animal Controllers, are people licensed to control wildlife. PCO’s are governed by the Department of Food and Agriculture. NWCO’s are governed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. When confronting a problem with wildlife, it is best to always deal with a company that specializes in problem animal control.
