The 6 native snake species in SC which are venomous include: Copperheads, Cottonmouth (water moccasin), the deadly Coral Snake, and three species of Rattlesnakes: (Timber or Canebrake), Eastern Diamondback, and Pigmy Rattlesnake (Dusky & Carolina).
